"Before It Got Quieter" Exhibition

June 14 – July 1, 2025

πŸ“ East Harlem, New York, NY

Before It Got Quieter is a home-based art experience that invites viewers into a private space of

emotion, chaos, and quiet transformation. The exhibition features 8 paintings created by Karolina

Zharko during moments of emotional intensity β€” when language was no longer available, and

painting became the only way to process the unknown.

β€œI don’t consider myself an artist. These works came out of necessity β€” a way to stay with feelings

that were too heavy to hold alone.”

This is not a gallery show in the traditional sense. It is not about technical mastery or visual trends.

It is a room open for witnessing β€” for sharing the invisible yet palpable moments we rarely talk

about.

Each painting was made when Karolina found herself face to face with uncertainty, heartbreak,

fear, or deep inner movement. Through color, texture, and raw gesture, these works become

emotional documents, holding experiences that were never meant to be polished, only felt.

The exhibition will be open by appointment from June 14 to July 1, 2025.

There may be a quiet reopening later in the summer β€” for those who missed it, or for those who

wish to return.

Let this be a space where art is not something to understand, but something to feel.
